Gerlache Straight, Antarctic Peninsula

Unique icebergs of all shapes and sizes. It’s hard to imagine the scale of them sometimes. This one was approximately as tall as the ship. Remembering that only 1/3 of the iceberg is above water and 2/3 under water. The amazing turquoise coloured water an indication of the shallow water and the iceberg lurking just beneath the waterline. The lines which signify different layers, different water heights and different areas of erosion taking place.
