Aurora Australis Photography Workshop ***REGISTER YOUR INTEREST!***

Locations include: Victorian coastal regions, Country Victoria. (Hobart - working towards an impromptu workshop coming soon)

An increasing amount of people are becoming aware that you don't need to go to the Northern hemisphere to see an aurora. While Australia does provide a viewing location it still does not beat being under the auroras rays and arcs. Due to our latitude the aurora appears in a southern direction reasonably low on the horizon. There are a lot of variables when it comes to an aurora hence the disclaimer on the booking page. However the workshop will include the following:

  • Learn the basics about an aurora

  • Learn the basic camera settings and what camera/lenses you need.

  • Forget the past, switch to manual mode and have full control over your camera! Full guidance throughout the workshop.

  • Learn the techniques when manually focusing at night.

  • Receive feedback on images you have taken.

  • Receive a cheat sheet with everything covered in the workshop for you to take home.

  • No duration as the aurora is very unpredictable, read disclaimer. However do not fear, if the aurora does not show I will run through my night photography workshop as a bonus.
