Part of a time-lapse series of photographs. This one capturing well before sunrise an aurora dancing in the skies overhead. Nearing mid-winter, the sun would only rise above the horizon for a couple of hours providing optimal viewing conditions for the night sky. The sun moves more horizontally than vertically in this part of the world.
