Such an amazing tabular iceberg that would have once been part of a glacier. With sheer rugged sides and flat top, however if you look closer, you’ll notice a few things. The line across the top shows the difference between the hard compact ice and recent snow fall sitting on top. The distinct line just above the water showing the erosion from waves. This iceberg is very clean which indicates that it didn’t pick up any rocks or algae during its path down the glacier. This iceberg was approximately a few stories high, only 1/3 of it appearing above the water. Taken on a Christmas day zodiac cruise during a 12-day expedition cruise from Ushuaia, Argentina.
