Just one of the glaciers along the Antarctic Peninsula. There are over 500 named and many other thousand unnamed glaciers across the icy continent. Most of this glacier is crevassed, this occurs when sections move at different speeds. The average height of Antarctica is 2500m high, the highest place is Dome A at 4093m. All the weight of the ice gets pushed outwards and down towards the coastline where it enters the ocean or dry valleys of the Transatlantic Mountains.
